Attorney Profile

Ann Barker’s reputation is wide spread. Known as an aggressive trial attorney, Ann has spent the last twenty-five years fighting tirelessly for her clients. She approaches her practice with integrity and her clients with candor.

Ann received her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota, and was a social worker in Minneapolis after college.  She received her J.D. from Hamline University School of Law.  As an associate, and later as partner, at Manahan, Bluth, Barker, Green and Friedrichs in Mankato, Minnesota, Ann practiced as a trial attorney in the areas of family law and criminal law. She also served as a public defender for Blue Earth County defending clients on a variety of charges.

In 1990, Ann opened her solo practice in Owatonna and continued serving as a public defender in Steele, Rice and Waseca Counties. She was designated a Super Lawyer by Minnesota Lawyer magazine both in 2001 and in 2002.
